Construction Manager
Managing Habitat for Humanity's new home construction, remodeling or repair projects included in the construction program that utilize volunteer labor, external contractors and produces quality homes for low income families in a safe affordable manner supporting the mission of Habitat for Humanity.
Overseeing and directing work of volunteers and trades people at job site. Includes following provided work schedule and project timeline for project completion. Report directly to Executive Director. Willingness to work several days a week on actual construction with volunteers including possibly a Saturday each month.
Scheduling, planning, procurement, working with subcontractors, site selection, working with zoning, building permits, site management and being updated with current building codes established by Habitat For Humanity International.
Taking a class with Habitat for Humanity for competent person safety class. Providing Certificate of Insurance to our office and include Habitat for Humanity of Gibson County on the additional insured.
Site preparation, foundation work, framing, flooring, insulation,drywall, roofing, siding, painting, finish work and site clean-up as necessary. Including the Partner Family to volunteer as they have agreed to.
